The Masters Jan 11 - 18, 2015
That was my Favourite match I've watched at the master's in a long time... That potential 147 would have made it a classic! C'mon Mark now is your time to win one of the big one's!

Great match, one of the best of the tournament so far.
I feel a little sorry for Higgins, because today was probably one of his best performances all season, but it still wasn't enough. He made three centuries and another 90, but the frames he threw away at 2-1 and 3-4 turned out to be more important in the end. If he had drawn Selby or Trump this week he could have gone through, but today his mistakes were punished fully.
It's nice to see Allen pinching these frames when he finds himself behind, like he did towards the end of his match against Williams in the International Championship. It shows that he has matured tactically now, and he knows those are the situations he really needs to concentrate on, because they can turn matches around. It could be a great game if Ding comes through to meet him in the quarter-finals.

I'm just wondering if the pressure and nerves of working in front of a TV audience has finally got the better of her. She never seemed to handle difficult situations very well (remember when she couldn't respot the pink because it meant nestling it between the pack of reds - she started shaking so much it became embarrassing for all concerned. In the end, she managed to put the pink in place, but even though it wasn't in the right place no one said anything because of the embarrassment).Michaela is definately not short, but for an average length person I think spotting that pink was not the easiest thing to do...and that's without the added pressure of having to do it on live tv with an audience of oh say a couple of thousand watching in the arena
No, I really think she did rather well that time.
Oh and talk about difficult situations and being able to handle the pressure....that time ROS was 'tossing his cue off' at one point...which was a rather disgusting thing to do imo. Michaela was the ref and warned ROS not to do that anymoreShe could have just as easily ignored it, but decided to put her foot down...I thought that was very well done and gutsy as well.
Anyway...back to the game at handLast edited by daffie; 14 January 2015, 02:53 PM.
