    Yes it would be an incredible story indeed. Alan is such a nice guy, and he thoroughly deserves it imo. Very hard to choose between him and JH for me personally. Still a good match to watch this one.

    Yes, it looks like Kyren Wilson will be the first 'new' player to be permanently into the top 16 since Trump in 2011. I know Liang Wenbo has been in for a short time at various times but essentially it has been very samey for the last 5 years.

    How incredible would that be for Alan McManus to make the Semifinal in the crucible again after 23 years? Who would have believed anyway that he would make the WC-quarterfinals not once but twice again only five years ago?

    I had little reason to think that tbh,McManus won 4 straight frames from 7-9 v Carter in the last round,plus beating Maguire and thrashing J Robertson.

    Surprisingly one-sided stuff in these quarter-finals, not at all what I expected. It's funny though, the one match people expected to be one-sided is the only close one so far. McManus just won't go away, will he? :smile:
