Selby definitely not match-fit...missing far too many relatively easy ones, and is missing his usual rhythm. Not susprising with the lack of tournament 'practice' due to personal reasons. Still curious to find out what those are exactly, maybe he will open up on it in the (near) future. Still hoping he will come through in this match and will pick up some form for the next round(s)...
I think most of us have players we find difficult to watch and not necessarily the obvious ones, either. Most people seem to really like McGill, for example, but I can't stand watching him. Very awkward action and a very stop-start rhythm around the table. Personally, don't mind Selby at all.
Whoever is responsible for the tables has really messed up. This is the World Championship and the tables are a joke. Bad bounces all over the place dictating frames and pockets cut too generously. Some of the pots that have been going in really make a mockery of pro snooker. I play on a pro table and believe me, the corners are considerably tougher than these.

Carter was just setting himself, he wasn't going to play the shot, that's why he told the ref to wait a minute.
He played the same shot 3 times and not one time did he nominate color if I remember correctly? Couldn't hear him that well though, so may have missed it...
Murmured indeed...hence I think why Neal Foulds said as well Ali should nominate instead of the ref...or at least be more forthcoming with nominating color.
