Is it just me or is there a strange lack of tension in this match, even though it's so close?

I am very much conflicted as Mark is one of my favorite players, but yes it would be great to see Fu vs Ding in the Final.

It will be a very scary place to return to, should he go on to lift the title!

Since Fu hasn't a nickname yet, what about Marco the finger Fu?

You bet he has......I feel for her as he can't help himself but talk about "the lovely vicky" a dozen times per game....She must be fed up as hell.

I think we owe P.Smith an apology. Further confused as to why the commentators keep referring to Marco Fu as being from Hong Kong and Ding from China, I looked up some details. Turns out Hong Kong is indeed considered a separate country to China. They maintain a border, have their own laws, passports and currency.

I didn't laugh when you said Marco wasn't Chinese, but some did

We will. Well, I will anyway.

Came out with a cracker the other day during a ball replacement situation, when Dennis asked why they don't just refer to the monitor when one of the players isn't sure. His reply was, "They're referees, Dennis. They don't like being told what to do!" He made no attempt to hide his feelings for referees

I'm really not sure we will. He is so damn negative all the time it is really off putting.

What the hell is so difficult about switching off your phone before you take your seat???

Pretty break now by Selby. He looks better in this session than before during this match.

This is what makes me think perhaps he didn't feel it. The back of the fingers aren't as sensitive as the tips. Perhaps he was focusing so much on cueing the ball that he simply didn't feel it.

Fu has called fouls on himself before, so why would he suddenly not call it in a situation where there was no huge disadvantage to doing so?

Lovely frame between Selby and Fu to finish their session. I thought I would have plenty of time for my 30-minute walk home after the frame finished, but it turned out it was already time for the next session to start when they were still playing, incredible. Nice result though, it should be an interesting evening session. I'm still sticking with my original prediction, but it does seem like Fu could take control of the match if he starts strongly.

Very well played to Ding Junhui. I called a new centuries record after the first session, but he only managed to equal it, shame on him! It's amazing that McManus held on for so long though, every credit to him. This semi-final will live in the memory for a long time as one of the best, even if it did not go all that close in the end.

Oh, and before I forget... I must object to Philip Studd's use of the phrase "a great escape Steve McQueen would have been proud of". I've heard him say that a few times now, but surely McQueen's character got caught in the end, didn't he? The phrase should be "a great escape Charles Bronson or James Coburn would have been proud of".
    And John Leyton,who played Willie.
