I feel the match is slipping away from Alan a bit here. The last couple of frames he has missed chances... not easy ones but still he needed to take them.
Ding is playing with real authority and aggression, very impressed with the way he's responded to Alan's comeback.
Marco Fu, Ding Junhui, both Chinese. Marco goes down on the scoreboard as 'Fu' (surname (to us) like the rest of the Western players). Ding goes down as 'Ding' (Christian name (to us).

Looks like 12-8, somehow McManus has got to win the next frame.
But if Ding does make a 147 or get close here that might just throw his concentration for a frame or two, allowing Alan to sneak back?
It's Voodoo Chile (slight return) by Jimi Hendrix. Voodoo Chile sounds completely different, I had it on CD when I was at school. Just to be a bit pedantic
You're right though (about the slight return). Left the pedantic part over to you

All the support we saw for Ding up until this match, has all but disappeared. McManus winning the WC would be a great fairy tale and I wouldn't begrudge it him for a second, but I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for Ding. I just hope he doesn't sense the crowd's lack of support for him and feel like he's being ganged up on like he did against O'Sullivan back at the start of his career.
Well that's not difficult, is it?
Doesn't help with commentator showering praises upon praise when AM at the table, obv crucible crowds with their earpiece going to response
