Goodness me NO. Please NO. Selby and Higgins... anyone but them. Even boring Barry or Marco Fu... just not either of those two please. Selby is like watching paint dry and I can't look at Higgins the same since 2010.

Williams, Ding or Wilson for me.

edit: in fact even McManus would be better than those two. Although he has zero chance of beating Higgins IMO.

That was a sickener! Ah well, Hawkins played well. Can't look beyond a Selby/Higgins final now.

    Rooting for MJW or Ding!

I remember saying after he lost to Selby that I just had a feeling he wouldn't win another WC. No idea why I thought that, just instinct. I don't think he played badly this tournament - he's been better than he was last year IMO where he was poor vs Bingham.

Well done Barry. He won most of the scrappy frames and pinched a few others from Ronnie. That was the difference.

Just as I wanted it, should have been a betting man. Spurs to draw and Barry Hawkinns to win 13-12.

What would have been the odds on that.

Anyway a perfect night . Spurs not gonna win he title now and Ronnie gone home . Lovely Jubbly

Lucky Hawkins here because that mistake off the black could have cost him the match here. Weird decision from Ronnie to go for the middle bag instead of the top corner.

Anyway well done Barry Hawkins!! This championship is so open this year!

Just wonderful stuff that last frame! Credit to Ronnie for giving it his all coming back for a ffd.

But what a sweet win for Barry...finally he can put those bad results v ROS to bed.

    Loved the fist pumps

    Great match that was :snooker:

As a Ronnie fan I am gutted, but what a match! Hawkins played out of his skin there and thoroughly deserved the win. Guess I am rooting for Higgins and Williams now.

I don't even like Ronnie but to see Boring Barry through is incredibly disappointing IMO. I hope Fu can beat him in the next round now. I think Higgins is probably the favourite now? Or maybe Selby. Mark Williams maybe joint 3rd favourite with Ding.
