Yeah it sounds like they've put it down to 30C on the request of Williams

It was 40C for a long time only 30 recently, earlier in the week the Eurosport commentators said something about WS trying a lower temp to see if the cushions would react in a more consistent manner. Don't know if that is the real answer though, maybe to save on the 'leccy bill

They keep showing the table heater temp gauge of the other table and it indicates 30C. If I remember correctly it should be around 49-50C right? Think MJW just said something about it to the ref...

So Liam won the first frame. Pretty scrappy one in the end but I think this could turn out to be a good match.

Watching on the Eurosport player without (double) commentary

yeah, never happened before I think .... I thought they would switch the commentary after the first frame was finished on Maguire Brecel table, but seems like they will continue this whole evening .... they must be aware of this issue by now, that is fo sure :-)

£20/yr that a good price and one I see as value
after doing two monthly subs over a three month period due to desperation a nice settlement

[have made a calendar note to remind to see if I want to continue next year - else the subscription is automatic unless you turn it off ]

Indeed hard to believe he's already 28. I remember clearly his great run in the World Championship. Like his style. Would like to see him get far.

I really can't believe Jamie Jones is already 28. I remember him coming up as a huge talent and promise for the tour.
Aside from his quarterfinal in the 2012 World Championship he really hasn't done anything of note since though. So it's good to see him having some success again. The quarterfinal in the UK Championship is definitely his second biggest achievement so far. And only the third time since the 2012 World Championship that re reached the stage of the last eight in a ranking tournament. And of the two others one was this years Paul Hunter Classic, that didn't feature all of the top players.
