It's just the way people are, part of our natural make-up, the witch hunting, tribal clan aggression. I'm sure when those making severe derogatory remarks step back and think about it pragmatically they realise they are being a bit severe with their opinions. In reality I bet those who respect ROS is nearly 100%, I mean how can you not?

I agree calling him a disgrace is a bit hyperbole, but I'm sure those who do aren't showing their true feelings but just a gut reaction to some of the negative things he says aimed at the sport itself. Everybody knows he hasn't had the best family life or mental health, everyone surely has respect for him in a certain kind of way (unless they're psychopaths )

to be fair, Missing that green was inexcusable at this level.
As John Parrott pointed out, he woulda have potted 9 out of 10 times. just a matter of pressure.
many mistakes from both players and they got their chance to finish the job at decider. Fair play to both and was a great match to watch, imo.

I'm ashamed to say after watching a loss to Villa and a few consolation drinks I fell asleep long before the game ended, I wasn't expecting it to be such a close match either so didn't battle my tiredness at all. I'm watching the replay now without the suspense of knowing what the result will be, but sounds like there's entertainment even so.

Superb match, I had Marco down for a 6 - 2 defeat but he stayed toe to toe with Ron throughout. What an excellent final frame from Ronnie, those little nudges freeing up red after red, lovely.

Can't wait for tomorrow, another classic battle between these two, hopefully.

Not the kick, i'm talking about the green. One ball away from the final. He would hit that shot 99/100 without the pressure.

No way is it choking. I thought Ronnie was going to steam roll Marco, but when under the cosh Marco started to produce the goods and mount a fight back. The green with the rest wasn't easy considering the situation. Ronnie got himself out of a pickle today and produced something special in the final frame...

Macro is one of the best break builders in the game but I think he lacks a little belief in himself.

Selby favourite but given how bad Ronnie was tonight he'll feel low pressure.
