Yeah, I wouldn't like to call this one yet, still finding their feet.

Great players rise to the top of the players and conditions that are around them at the time.

The standards are completely different nowadays as the stats suggest but who's to say that the great players of old wouldn't have risen to top given the same opportunities of the modern day players.

      But that's for another thread!

That was laughable by today's standards. I seriously reckon I could have given either of those two a run for their money. And I can't play for toffee! :biggrin-new:

I really like the pool-style look of the table. Ironically it looks more modern than today's tables.
suppose you could have run faster than bannister as well lol or jumped higher than fosbery ! you ever played under those conditions? thought not

                • First time a have seen player advertising cue maker. Murphy has parris cues on waist coat
                  Current playing cue Trevor White
                  3/4 ash cue

                  • I'd be surprised if Murphy didn't win this now, massive amounts of momentum with 3 to play.

Like to see someone doing the heights they do now with the straddle!!

Guys like Fosbury just broke the mould. Where did he even get the style from!

                        • I should be a betting man - I'd never lose. All I'd need to do is bet on the player I didn't want to win, which in this case would have been Murphy. Looks like momentum has shifted now and Luca will have to play very well to get it back.
