As for Wilson, credit to him for a very strong showing in this tournament. Compared to Trump, I think he will gain a lot more from this experience. Trump whined about his bad luck for the 17th time this season after he lost to Higgins, and you just know that kind of attitude won't make him a better player, whereas Wilson will probably put the work in and come back stronger next season. He was only a couple of frames short against one of the best players in the world, so he clearly doesn't need too much improvement to seriously challenge for this title. He might be one of the favourites when we get back to the Crucible in 2019.
Agreed. Wilson seems to be a player in the ascendency. It will be interesting to see if Kyren can find another level and press on to becoming the world's top player. I'm not sure he's quite there yet, but sometimes a changing of the guard can happen quite quickly (Davis to Hendry for example).

Good match. I thought Higgins finished strongly considering many seem to think he is fatigued.

Not seen much of this in the last few days so never noticed he had been on, lately i tend to watch it with the audio muted for my own sanity.

Well, he's been missing in action for about 4 hours as he was commentating on the Williams-Hawkins match earlier.

he was on yesterday with Parratt, it was all JV-"what do you think John?" JP-"I not sure John?" JV-"there you go John"
sure he will be back either tonight or one of the sessions tomorrow or Monday

Dennis Taylor talks too much and I think most of what he does say could fill a new thread called 'stating the bleedin' obvious '

It's a great way to promote good behaviour among young people- which is never a bad idea.

Ball boys are required for tennis. They're not for snooker.

If you really think that we need a way to promote good behaviour among teenagers we really are in a bad way.

If you did a straw poll among 100 teenagers, most would have little or no interest in snooker and particularly not outside of the Crucible fortnight.

I was undecided about the debate over corner pocket size, until a cut-back just now by Wilson, that must have been at least 1.5" off line, and it dropped without any problem

Thanks. It could be that, but I checked the score with my pater and he confirmed the same scoreline the website is showing.

Anyway, he also said there was no 'interruption'.
