The biggest question for me is Higgins' physical shape. I think if his body stays fit, he is the huge favourite to win the title now. But let's remember how tough the first two sessions of the final were to play for him last year. And so far his world championship has been extremely exhausting with all those long matches. I think if Gilbert makes a good start he has a good chance. It reminds me a bit of Dott in 2004. A player that has been at the edge of the top 16 for a few years, but still was a huge surprise to make the World Championship final (or semifinal so far in this case). He also doesn't let the pressure get to him so far. Higgins' experience should be a big advantage though.
Gary Wilson - Judd Trump 11-17
As fine as Wilson has fought so far I think his aggressive style will hurt him against Trump, who will be able to punish his mistakes much more than his previous opponents. While I'd think a surprise is within the cards in the other semifinal it would be a huuuge surprise for me, if Wilson got through here.
