I wonder if Ronnie will be trying to slow Neil down just a bit... it surely ain't his style as he likes to return punches when being punched but it might be a clever strategy... torture him a bit

It's a enjoyable match, still hope Ronnie will pick up his game a bit to his usual high standard.

change of tip for robbo during the break?
Possible dangerous to do so, but also not to!

Yeah, it's kind of a shame... that tip thing clearly got Robertson unsettled, it's actually not so much Ronnie dominating now, it's more of Robertson struggling since then. Well, things happen...

good frame to get for Robbo.
still much more to do, too much?

                    Well... good morning, everybody!

Looks like both the boys are up to the task. Shaun a bit more so, nice break to steal the second frame... he'll be wanting to build up a good lead quick, which is pretty much the only way to beat Ronnie in a final, I guess.

as usual, mid session interval has an affect on how play has gone

                        Still here, kind of.

Good match so far. Nice to see Murphy sticking with O'Sullivan in the first session and avoiding the usual scenario of getting thrashed.

Interesting that O'Sullivan often plays so well in Shanghai, but at the same time struggles in other parts of China. In the last ten years he has won the Shanghai Masters three times, and if he wins today he will make it four wins in seven appearances, but in the same time period he has played in ten other Chinese events and never got beyond the quarter-finals in any of them.

I think Shanghai is not a humid as the other cities snooker is played in.
as you have seen he seems to be a bit cold, with a hot cup and all
or maybe they have efficient AC?

I think it's pretty obvious that Ronnie enjoys bigger stages and being admired. He usually performes better the higher the prize money gets, too...
