I've just had confirmation from the Crucible box office that all my tickets have been processed no problem and will be posted shortly.
But the thing struck me as I spoke to a real person straight away, that the Crucible box office really are the most helpful box office people I have ever spoken to (not just snooker-related). They know what it is you're talking about, can find your order without a thouand-digit reference number, and sound quite chirpy!
Perhaps Ticketmaster could have a fact-finding day out there!
I have to admit I was surprised i received my tickets last week. I guess I was one of the first to receive them, even my tickets were allocated a bit late on the 22nd of january, and originating from overseas, it even takes longer to deliver them. Might be that my request by mail helped, where I asked for them, as travel and accomodation has to be taken into account. They are in the kitty now, locked in the safe!

I sent my form off a couple of days before the deadline, only to receive a response 10 days later that I had missed out the expiry date of my card! I sent it back again but have heard nothing since, I assume it has got caught up with the masses of late-comers?
Are you going to the final? Me and my funny mate are, can't wait. I am just hoping that when Ronnie says "I am targetting the worlds" that he really means it..
"And slowly and surely they drew their plans against us"
I haven't had mine yet, but last year they posted them without a stamp and I had to go to the sorting office and pay £2.12 for the privilege of collecting them! And they posted them in an unsuitable envelope which had torn all over – they practically fell out on the office floor there and then!
I didn't think that was a very clever way to handle over £1000 worth of tickets!
Well funny you should say that because mine arrived in a sealed plastic bag with 'with sincerely apologise' plastered all over it!! Seems it was damaged by good old royal mail. My SAE inside was torn to shreads!! Luckily all the tickets are there.

But if you've got 38 tickets, I blame the Crucible. A pile of 38 tickets represents a thick block of paper which, put in a flimsy envelope that is far larger than the rectangular tickets, will only cause the corners of the block of tickets to tear the envelope. Once it's torn it will only get worse.
I guess, being a theatre, they are more used to buying one or two tickets for an event – there aren't many theatrical performances where one person would want a ticket to watch the same thing 38 times in a row! Having said that, they've been doing the snooker for 30 years so they should realise by now!
