What's needed is for someone technically minded to get a TV card and set it up so you can watch TV broadcasts on the internet. I watch other programmes on websites like justin.tv. I've had a look around on there but no one seems to covering the snooker.

No luck so far. Does anyone know if the matches are broadcast on any chinese TV channels or is it just BBC and Eurosport ? It isn't shown on Shanghai sports or CCTV.

Right. ISLSport and ISLSport2 on justin.tv used to broadcast snooker. I watched the NI that way but doesn't seem to be on today

wonder how they even knew a small site like that was up and running ?

This is so very frustrating . BBC won't provide the internet streaming to all and won't let anyone do so either. What are they trying to achieve ? Ensure snooker has low popularity and eventually runs out of sponsorship ??

BBC is working for me through proxy so far - I've watched Hendry and watching Davis now. So it's worth a try.

which proxy have u used ?

I don't remember, go two pages back - it should be there. Restart your computer before connecting with the proxy - it helped me.

ARH - i didnt know that bit - davis robertson will probably be all over by the time my works pc reboots !

But thx for the tip anyway, i will know to do that next time !

was anyone able to get it to work though ? I tried 4 proxies from the list randomly but BBC kept saying "wrong territory" !

tallguy, I've managed to make it work today.

Don't forget, you have to:
1. Set your computer's clock to GMT, otherwise you'll get no result.
2. Set the proxy in Internet Explorer settings.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Connect through the proxy and open the bbc page.

It should let you connect, though in 10 or so minutes it understands that you're outside the UK. The stream will still be running, but if you refresh the page you'll get the 'wrong territory' again - so if you need to refresh, you disconnect, reboot and connect again.
Makes the process slower, but for me today it worked. Not sure if it'll still work tomorrow, but we'll see.

I didn't do steps 1 and 3 in your list. Maybe that was the reason. Will try again tomo. Hope it works.
