Cope did incredibly well, but Higgins missed a lot of chances. Or at least, he couldn't make proper enough breaks. At least that's how it looked. He made half-finished breaks which gave Cope a chance and he grabbed it with both hand. For example, at 7-3, Higgins should've made it 7-4 but he missed the blue. It's just one miss, but it's a miss he just shouldn't have made. He should just have done better in the first session where he had enough chances to go into this session with a better score.

On the other hand, it's not easy to play against someone who is playing so well.

Great comeback by Dott in frame 12. He needed a snooker and the safety exchanges on pink and black between him and Harold were brilliant. Pinches it on the black 77-76 to trail 5-7.

    Higgins 3-9 Cope.

That's not so good. He's doing worse with every tournament it seems!

Ah, I see. I've been out of town for a few days. Hope it'll continue to work like it has this afternoon.

Is that link working for outsiders as well, btw? It's really great with complete coverage of both tables!
Russians have the same coverage. It didn't work last night, not on swedish site, not on russian

Thank god for http://www.eurosport.se/mclivevideo.shtml as my (our ) satellite dish fell down last week and we (I ) haven't found the energy to put it up yet.

Looks like another tournament with a surprise winner. Looking like 7 top 16ers at max will be in the last 16. Last time the event went like this was 2004 and I don't think anyone would have guessed the semi finalists then bar Maguire.

Yep, this one's over. Cope is playing too well and Higgins is...not. Higgins COULD have snatched the last frame, but I think he screwed up at the end (I'm watching live scores) and handed it over to Cope. Now Cope seems to be on another break so....yeah, this will be over quickly.

Of course, there is no 9 on the scoreboard yet and Hawkins did it too, but the difference in form is just too big for Higgins to pull off six consecutive frames against Cope.

Higgins is going home, no way back from here, Cope would have to have a serious loss of form to lose from here.
If Copey can maintain this form he will walk this tournament, but as we know form can be there one day and gone the next. He's been superb though in this match.

    So it was!

Five down with six to play, then!
