The frame lasted some 77 mins and this is the longest frame ever on TV. The pair Ebdon-Dott is beaten ... let's hope they don't want a revenge!
Selby stated with some humour that of course it's a record, but not necessarily the type of record he's dreaming of to highlight his career (not his exact words that I don't remember, but the spirit of it)

Of course not! I fell asleep too . Woke up just in time to hear our commentator saying that Fu ended up conceding the frame so Selby was through. So it lasted more than an hour the frame ?

[QUOTE=dannyd0g;280054]The only tone suitable for a reply to this is a Wity or Atthebookies tone - so - What rubbish ! How long have you been following snooker ! ? Since the w/c last year i bet.
Everyone has right for an opinion. My self included. I'm following snooker for 14 years now, probably I've watched more matches on TV than you have, even though you are 9 years older than me.
oh, nice! match discussions are back
Was happy to catch up on the Selby game coming home yesterday and was glued to the TV until the sweet end watching snooker history being made (longest frame)!
Couldn't believe it got so close, but Marco seemed to methodically get his breaks in there for several frames in a row. Of course, wanting Selby to win, Fu's concentration approach for every ball drove me nuts.
But, in the end well done Selby and yes his expressions, priceless!! (well especially compared to the lack of them in opponent).
Now for today hoping for Maguire to win (well, know that Murphy plays awsome snooker as well, so that won't be easy).
Think Ronnie in his state so far should get through tomorrow. But great semis and final ahead anyway.... and maybe, just maybe, this will be Ronnies game!
Yeah, nice to watch, even if it wasn't the uttermost frame (8-8). Think Selby earned the victory & hope him good luck against ROS. BTW Did you notice Selby's mimic after potting the green in the last frame. Not before he looked up on the scoreboard, did he obviously notice it had been the frame ball. Such was his concentration on the position for brown (which failed).
Unlucky Fu, well played Selby and always a pleasure to watch. It's good to have someone like Selby on the circuit because he breaks such a tense situation. I loved it when he motioned towards the skies and where he had a fit when he thought the cue ball didn't reach the brown when he tried the snooker.
Great quality and all rounded player. I'll be wanting him or Rodders to win. It's evident that one of them will win anyway since they're facing each other but I believe Ronnie's got the upper hand, especially at this form he's showing. He probably kicked himself for how poorly he played against Holt.
