It's a fact that some players even though they perform greatly, don't have charisma. Peter Ebdon is a great player, but still no one likes him.

Even a good Osullivan can be put in trouble by him...except of course if ROS is in a mega day

I have seen Ronnie throw chalk to the crowd, and then ask someone for another piece of chalk.
Does anyone know who was the first one doing it?
Shaun Murphy plays a very disciplined and controlled game in my opinion. I do not know anything about him off table. The only impression I have of him is watching him play in these tournaments. Why does it seem that so many people like to judge him with a magnifying glass?
Does anyone know what cue does Shaun Murphy play with by the way?

My two cents, take it or leave it:
The only fuss I notice is that, as usual, the off-table actions of Murphy is measured by harsher standard than the rest of the players.
I really like the way Murphy's been playing this week. Very fluent and looks to be as comfortable and steady in gruelling safey as with break building and long pots.
Maguire has been playing well also, conserving some of the form which took him all the way to the title in Belfast last month.
O'Sullivan is the third person to impress on me so far this week. He's hitting the ball as well as ever, and the long pots seem to be nearing the OK mark.
Jamie Cope has hit superiour form this week and has outplayed every name put against him so far. An in-form O'Sullivan is probably too much for him to take, though. With that louse way of cueing across each shot, he's a top 8 on the days when he hit top-gear, and not even top 50 on a day with more moderate form.
Unfortunatley we haven't been able to see much of Fu and Selby, but both seem to be in reasonably good form. Selby seems, for the time being, to have the upper hand in the potting department of the two. But this match could go either way really.
Some very fine matches in progress and coming up.
Murphy vs. Maguire could turn out to be one of snooker's great rivalries, should the two of them continue to play like they have this season and continue to meet in the latter stages of tournaments.Last edited by hegeland; 13 December 2007, 04:49 PM.

Selby has potted lots of good balls, but instead of having the cueball on a bit of string, hes got it on a roll of Andrex, and thats very long
(soft and strong too)

Good, alert game between O'Sullivan and Cope. Loved it!
Big breaks, bit of safety play, colour battle, everything.
Mon, Ronnie!
