    Maguire on top

I bet this will be a repeat of the NI semi final. Maguire fractions better than Murphy, but enough to clinch the match. Still early days though as Maguire can become unstettled and cross with himself if he misses the odd ball.

That was because I was shouting at him!

For some reason, he gets away with the same tactics many of us dislike Ebdon for. We all remember how Mark tried to slowplay Higgins out of the worldfinal...

At least Ebdon has paid his dues, he has won the big titles and earned the right to play any way he wants to.

Selby is a rookie who should show the veterans some respects until he has something to back up his antics with. (read a couple of titles)
If Fu had played as slowly as Selby the frame would indeed have lasted 2 hours. On Europsort I heard he really would like to play against an Osullivan who is playing at his maximum. If this happens Selby could return to earth sooner then he thinks (a bit like Ding at the masters remember...)

Can confirm this. Even after his marathon with Murphy in Sheffield, he walked into the bar and gave me his autograph instantly. Coulld have something to do with his win.

ps. autograph is kept well now.

Mark seems to be particularly in demand for autographs and generous at giving them. In June in Warshaw, not only did he need some 20 minutes to walk the 20 meters from the minibus to the venue doors ... signing all the way long, but he also scribbled ceaselessly during his matches. Every moment he was seated, people from the security were bringing him things to sign from the audience! and he obliged

Great quality and all rounded player. I'll be wanting him or Rodders to win. It's evident that one of them will win anyway since they're facing each other but I believe Ronnie's got the upper hand, especially at this form he's showing. He probably kicked himself for how poorly he played against Holt.

I respect him as a good player, but he is not my preferred player to watch. After the world final has been enough for me.

I don't know if it's just me, but this is the first time in a long time that a tournament is turning out a way I like. Good matches, good players advancing (I admit it, I prefer it when players I already know make it to the final). Looking forward to the grand finale!
