Theres been a few amazing shots this week, Trumps positioning from pink to black, Dings 4 ball plant & Selby's pink to black. Higgins added another to that list!! For anybody that didn't see the Higgins/Ding match...Higgins knocked a full length red in off the brown (which was sat on its spot)

Just made a quick check of Stevens' career. Indeed, one has to go back quite some time to see when he last made major progress in a ranking event - runner-up in the 2008 Bahrain Championship, runner-up in the 2005 World Championship, runner-up in the 2005 Irish Masters. So he's certainly due for a bit of success!

          The joke in china

Agree - What a complete waste of time , So much for snooker being big in china , look at the empty seats

If Barry Earn whats to down grade the game this is the way to go, anyone who turns the tv on and see the empty seats is just going to switch off, if you cant even get a few hundred to turn up to make it look busy its a bad state of affairs.
World snooker have got this one way wrong.Complete balls up.

Here hoping for a better atmosphere over the weekend.

It's been said many times on commentary, that the ticket prices are too expensive, so it's no surprise really, maybe they will learn their lesson next year though i very much doubt that...

Snooker is big in China just that it's mostly big on telly at the moment and remember, Barry has only recently dragged snooker out of it's worst doldrums in the modern game and is effectively starting to rebuild it from not a lot.

Ask the players if they want to turn the clock back ten years where all comps were in the UK, if you weren't in the top 16 you either got a second job or gave up?

Probably not as the top 50 can make a living now and the game is so open even amateurs get a go at some comps - long way to go but it's looking a lot better than it was.

The conditions in China need working on but go back to when the game wasn't 'modern' in the UK and probably a lot worse than today, if it weren't for Ray Reardon and co it would still be being played in clubs with nobody watching.

I mentioned the poor attendance figures to my dad when I was there a couple of days ago and he made a very valid point when he pointed out that maybe it's because everyone's at work. The Chinese don't really 'do' unemployment, do they?

Also, has the Trump Tip Mystery been resolved yet?

It´s not the first time cues gone missing. To me it´s a bit of a mystery why world snooker hasn´t gone into getting a permit for the players to bring their cues to the cabins.

Here we go then, seeeemeye final time.

                        Looks like someone's lacquered Mathew's cue overnight . . .

It's stickier than sticky the stick insect . .

Fair point, it was bad a few years back with hardly any T V coverage and very few comps, Some of the new comps have been busy ie Germany, but this seems to be a big mistake, semis day and its still empty

Anyway the players will still get a pay out it.

the ref Eirian Williams needs talking to about that, Stevens fails to get out of a snooker and moves brown, black and yellow and even though the players think he has put them back wrong and the second ref shows the hawkeye still frame of where the balls were the ref insists they were elsewhere and puts them back wrong

the players did not need the lengthy delay and argument and it could make the difference between 1-3 to Stevens and 2-2, a difference of who gets to the final or not

inquiry needed, that should not happen

Eirian Williams thinks he's better than the video and fails big time. Ridiculous.

Even a quick screen dump print out onto a4 and he could have taken it over to the table .
