Well if you like breaks of 20, cheap snookers, everlasting tactical battles and when a player comes back at the table even if he needs up to 6 snookers to win the frame, then you might love to see Selby play. For the same reasons, I hate him from the bottom of my heart. You can't blame people for hating a player in particular because, well, it's very likely that there is at least one player that you hate, too. This is human nature.

Rule no.1, whenever Selby plays he divides opinions, more so than any other player. Unfortunately because his matches are so boring snooker becomes the secondary part, therefore people talk about anything other than the game in hand!

Couldn't agree more. Don't know what parrot's on about, " Nobody likes this sort of frame...."
    It's pure drama.

Selby is not going to change now. Dott is bored, you can see it in his chair, he even muttered something at one point like come on. Mark is clearly playing gamemanship now, taking an enormous amount of time over sometimes routine shots. Noticeable how he quickens up when his opponent needs snookers.

Think players need a strong ref now to deal with this deliberate slow play to annoy his opponent, someone needs to have a word with him.

Though I have to add. A couple of terrible shots from Dott to play in Selby's hands. He should have known better.

worst number one ever. You look at most sports and the number one player is largely there because they genuinely are the best players, winners of multiple titles, world champions etc. Selby has been in one world final and not a lot else, one UK final where none of the top players turned up and has a couple of smaller ranking titles and mainly PTC events along with a couple of masters titles. Its embarrassing for the sport that he is number one, to anyone looking to get into the game, he is a terrible advert for the game and many would not believe that a number one player can be so average and won so little.

PLEASE RONNIE, COME BACK AND SAVE THIS GAME

I freakin hate Mark Selby. No matter what I try, I can't get to liking him just a little bit. Hope he gets smashed tonight. Come on Graeme!

I can't remember the last time I saw Mark Selby win a match by playing good snooker. He always seems to scrape through by his opponents falling apart. I hope this doesn't happen tonight.

Dott committed the cardinal sin of gifting a frame to Selby. I'd be surprised if Selby does not use it to turn the match on its head.
