    Thanks!

Billiards is a truly beautiful sport. Shame it died.

Having said that, I think when played properly billiards is more of an art form than a sport. Kind of like a dance, with balls.

remember jimmy white stating alex was a purist as he had played billiards before, knew the angles etc.

I watched this earlier, but then forgot to post ...doh !
Really enjoyed that, havn't seen much of Fred before, he is some player. That short 15 minutes each version would make decent telly nowadays i feel too

Great game and those guys are making it look much easier than it really is.

Brilliant stuff, good to see them both enjoying it and having a laugh - I can learn more watching 15 mins of this than hours of table time!

I have great memories of the Blue Arrow masters. Great to see it again played so well by such amazingly contrasting styles, atitudes, and just about everything else!!! The game is far far from dead. Check out WWW.EnglishBilliards.org for superb information, coaching and a wealth of similar videos from many decades.

I just found it and wanted to start a thread about it.
                  Fascniating and beautiful to watch.
Also not nearly enough footage of Fred Davis so great to see that too.

Great stuff. It could have been fun to see Alex Higgins at his prime on the fast tables of today.
