If you watch the whole wideo you will see that it is not a real Snooker event, I asked David Hendon about it and he said "It was a short film, a surrealist piece of art"
I have however tracked down the commentator from this short film and hope that he will give me some more information about it. -
The commentator in this video Charles Nove has just got back to me and said "It was one of a series of 20 or so short films made for a series called "TV Interventions" which were run during a short season on Channel 4. Various artists contributed pieces to the project. This snooker one was the idea of David Mach, a Scottish sculptor. He did at least one other item for the project, which was an animation of the ventriloquist's dummy head used by John Logie Baird during his initial experiments in television. The soundtrack of that one featured an imaginary conversation between Logie Baird and the dummy, with me voicing both parts."Comment
