Clarification on a Snooker after a free ball ?

    As you have taken brown as your nominated free ball and it's finished in front of the yellow[only colours on] what if there is another colour not on in in front of the brown, would this not be the effective snookering ball, this one puzzles me???

      Yes. It is the ball closest to the cue-ball which is the relevant one, if more than one colour is snookering you on the ball on.
