  • new BENT cue!

    Hi all,

Just got a surprise Peradon Classic this christmas morning from my dad.

Looks and feels like a really nice cue, apart from when I roll it, I can see that towards the tip, the cue is slightly bent!

It is minor, and I wonder if it is to be ignored or not?

    thanks,

    andy

I believe the tapering is off, which shd be easily solve with the help of a lathe and a craftsman.

do the sight test.... view the cue from the butt with ur master eye as if u are aiming a rife...
and rotate the cue slowly... its more accurate that way

I got one of these for my brother on his birthday, must say his is quite a nice piece of wood.

A slight bend is really only a cosmetic problem (as in, if you can put it out of your mind it wont affect your play), though if it's brand new it should be easy to swap back at wherever your dad got it from. I wouldn't think about going at it with a lathe myself, doubt it's worth the effort.

        thanks for the replys.

ive got over the initial "oh no my new cues bent!!"

I can't even really see it when looking down it, so its not to be worried about.

It wont affect my playing, so I'm just looking forward to using it now!!!

And yes robert, the wood is really, really nice!!!
