What is the big difference in feel between a 12 inch and 16 inch from the butt joint?

There are none that one will recognise until one becomes a 50 plus player, may I suggest don't worry about this.

A cue jointed at 12" will most likely be lighter than the 16" jointed one, due to less solid ebony
Balance point too most likely nearer the butt on the 12"
