Certainly wouldn't want to re-type all that stuff.

There's a huge amount of information available on the Forum for folk looking to buy a cue. To re-type it all would be stupid.

Classic has a 9.5 ferrule rather than the 9.0 on the Ambassador which makes it more suitable for snooker

Additionally, I've recently heard that some British Cue makers actually get the shafts done from Thailand, and only do the finishing themselves. Is this true?
I've seen on the Parris cues site that they do the building of the cue themselves from start to finish, including the selection of the wood. I'm keen to find out the veracity of this. Does anyone know?

I would go with the classic over the ambassador every time.
