hi, im in the market to buy a new cue, as my old i paid £90 for and ive been told its worth 30 lol i dont want to get ripped off again so just a few questions.......

    (i) im using to quite a light cue at the min, i dont know the excat weight but every other cue i have used is far hevier and i always have trouble with cue ball postion.... would a hevier cue help with this snf how heavy should i go?

(ii) i use a talisman tip which i love but the cue i use is 8.5-9.0mm and everone i know says i should be using a thinker cue as the one i have is maily used for english pool...... is this true , would it help my game?

(iii) is ash and ebony butt the best materials, what things should i be looking out for , i do have a good budget but obviously i want it as cheap as poss......any good names ?

not many people could tell where the ash came from and it doesn't matter much - get home take some photos and lets see what we have.

and what is wrong with it?

its not a top quality cue but then its not expensive - if you can use it its fine!

well for a start he talking nonsense because the weight makes NO difference to the amount of back spin - that is all about timing.
