  • Answer,then ask...

OK I will ask you a question which you have to answer, the person who correctly answers the question then has to ask a question themselves. This is just a bit of fun until BDE is set up. The questions can be as easy or as hard as you like .

Q1: Who is the only player to have lost a world championship (crucible) after winning the most frames in the tournament?
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

Alex Higgins. In 1980 the top 8 had it easy by getting seeded into the last 16. By getting to the final from outside the top 8 and only losing narrowly he won 68 frames to Thorburn's 60.

    (If I'm right)
Q2: Who holds the record for consecutive seasons in the top 16, and how many seasons was it?

I'm afraid so snookersfun. Mitsuko has it, Davis entered the top 16 in 1980 and stayed there until 2000, when he dropped to 17th. He has of course got back in since.

              Fire away Mitsuko.

How many referees have taken charge of a Crucible final and who are they?
