  • Total Clearance

With one red left on the table, compile a total clearance of 37, without the use of a free ball.
You are only the best on the day you win.

I assume as you said total clearance instead of break...

You mean red followed by yellow. Then all the colours. thats 30. Scores are now level and there is a respotted black which you cut in for another 7? for 37?

But I wouldn't class this as a total clearance so I am a little stumped atm.

Sorry spike, I didn't actually read what you had posted for some unknown reason - honest!

I think it's something else tho....

Have you been sleeping properly lately? I'm not Spike lol!

Though I do think it must be something different as I wouldnt class the respotted black as a total clearance even though you had technically potted every ball

DawRef does not say a break but a total clearance ... I have just potted a red and got perfect position on the black ... so there is one red and the colours on the table ...

I pot the black, red, yellow (10 so far) then the colours for 27 making 37 in total ...

The break is 38 with my initial red, but from the point DawRef asked about (one red and colours) the clearance is 37 ...

                  Red, Black and a yellow.

However the referee then has a brainstorm and respots the yellow. I take the yellow and the rest of the colours to make a 37 clearance.

i remember seeing that in a professoinal match.. only it was the brown and waldo asked the ref to put it back it the pocket instead of potting it

                      Well...

You are put back after a miss on the colour. You start your break with the yellow, followed by red and black. That's 10. Then you clear the colours for 37.

Yes that would be my answer.

The two colours either side of the red just need to add up to 9, they needn't be yellow and black specifically.

Sorry rob, it's normally spike that replies to this type of question. I'd had a couple of ciders as well!

Good answer with the miss rule, I was sort of onto it.... Anyone have a decent question for the biggest quiz thread?!! Any takers.

                              look like the right asnwer
Than clearance might even be 42 if you pot the black first
