    The first round draw for the new Sky Shootout has been made.

    The stand-out tie is Mark Williams v John Higgins, two players with five world titles between them.

    Ronnie O'Sullivan tackles Marco Fu while Ali Carter meets Jimmy White and Steve Davis faces Peter Ebdon.

    The tournament takes place from January 28-30 in Blackpool. Each match consists of a single frame, which will be stopped after ten minutes.

    This is going to be a toss of a coin, but with a 20 second shotclock and 15 seconds after 5 minutes I think we will see some quite messy snooker. I think Drago will be the only one who isnĀ“t going to be affected at all.

    Has anyone read how they will be able to execute shots with extension in this format. In the premier league it normally takes close to 25 seconds, when the extension is in use. Maybe the players will have to bring two cues ?

      And what about having the cue ball cleaned after a kick...? Having the white cleaned AND making your shot can hardly be done within 15 secs but I don't think the shot clock will be stopped for that as it could easily be misused then.

          We could do with a definitive explanation of the rules, I've looked but can't seem to find one anywhere.
