          There is a picture of him somewhere, let me see...
          I remember seeing a few pictures of him playing, and all of them had him resting the cue on the cushion rail without any rest or other device. That seemed to be even for some shots that were quite a long way from the rail.

          Here is an interesting video I found. Goundrill features from 3 minutes. He either uses the cushion or the crook of his elbow. Right at the start of the video there is another one armed player who uses a table brush as a bridge
