I can't say I approve of all the rule changes SKY feel free to implement whenever they like. Just because they screen a football match doesn't mean they get to alter the rules as they see fit. I'm all for different formats, but not when its to the detriment of the quality of snooker played. Last night was the first time I've seen so many poor shots purely down to the nonsense of a shot-clock, and an entire match lost due to one misjudged safety. Will it take the mockery of 5 seconds per shot with players running around the table before the WPBSA step in and stop SKY from ruining the game?

I see where your coming from magic,

The ball in hand last night spoilt a cracking match between ron and murf.

I like the shot clock in the PL but the balll in hand after 3 misses... spoilt the match for me it really did...

Ball in hand after 3 misses is questionable, but this was after one miss! Ridiculous imo. Previous years shot-clocks have just been a largely unnecessary annoying noise, but with the reduction of time this year we saw the kind of shots amateurs would be embarrassed about. Not a good advert for the pro game.

cant agree more and it hardly quicken up the matches

11 normal frames and 1 shootout frame took 4 hours take away the bull**** and the Senior draw it was about 17 minute a frame on avarage last night.

the 4 players on show in normal rules could have easily avaraged 10 to 15 minute a frame.

It was when it was 2-2 Ronnie and Smurf, the deciding frame had its own special rules, any foul meant ball in hand, Ronnie forgot plus missed a very easy snooker escape handing the victory virtually on a plate
