A business like decision i'm sure, however in the old days(not so long ago) after the match the players would be well capable of giving a short humorous talk plus display of trick shots or maybe get a couple of players in the audience to play a doubles interpersed with more humour. A commentator, say Mike Hallet is still well able to do this and show off his skills at the basket tricks etc. Perhaps snooker has forgotten its true entertainment value. F.

I think that it should of still gone ahead even if SKY did not want to broadcast a exhibition type evening, at the end of the day the capacity at these events is 1,200 people so it still brings in enough money to hire the venue and pay the players a few bucks for turning up.

bit off on bingham having to play twice on the same night though because of it....

surely it should have been put to the next weeks fixtures where niether robertson or bingham are down to play

Players sometimes have to play more than one match in a single day at the PTCs do they not?
So probably not a hardship - as long as they are playing well
          Up the TSF! :snooker:

true, but why should he be the only one playing twice on the night? surely more fair to move it to the next night where neither are playing.....

Playing twice for Bingham will probably suit him better to be fair.
