WSC Real 09 - Two player help needed!!

I was at my brother's last night. His son picked him up a copy of WSC Real 09 and we were itching for a game. We created a profile each, and then chose 'Versus' mode from the main menu, but for the life of us we couldn't load both our profiles??

I know this series has been dogged by bad prgramming and oversights in the last few installments, but please don't tell me you can only load one profile?

I can't believe no one knows the answer to this?? Someone surely? Even if two player profiles can't be loaded for a human vs human match, then I'd still like it confirmed.
