Has anyone tried to play this old snooker game on Windows 7 ?
Jimmy White's Cueball World from 2001, which looks great on Windows 7, but always crashes to the desktop after ten or eleven minutes when playing snooker.
(Playing pool is ok for some reason and never crashes but I prefer to play snooker)

I have most of the other PC snooker games by codemasters, sega, blade from 2001 up to WSC real 09.

It's so frustrating as I love the ball movement in this game, but can't finish a frame.
Compatibility mode isn't a problem as the game loads up and plays, but only for a few minutes as I mentioned.

I downloaded a patch that makes the game play at the correct speed, as bizarrely it plays as if in fast forward when you first install the game. Maybe it's the patch that is the culprit, but without applying it, it isn't much fun to play at a fast speed.

here are the details when it crashes.
