Stumbled on this channel on YouTube, nice to see the pros showing us a little bit. Well worth keeping an eye on for practice routines.

He is a class act and a real student of the game.

Interesting - not seen many, if any really, routines that focus primarily on safety.

I always liked Anthony from when I first saw him a few years back - seems like he has a bright future. Maybe he'll get a ranking tournament soon?

Very likeable lad, always eager to learn something and to share the knowledge as well. He's leading snooker masterclasses for youngsters in Glasgow every week I think, which is very nice from a pro.
            Class act!

              Great stuff itsnoteasy.
Safety looks deceptively easy, but when a top pro like Ants messes up here or there even in a practise session...it makes you think. I need to remind myself NOT to expect to play these type of shots well every time.
Love his other videos too. Nothing extreme, just basic stuff. Too many club warriors go for routines which are far too difficult.

Very true Ace Man....Sometimes you are guilty of trying things too hard too soon in practice but basic stuff done effectively is much more efficient.

Obviously I don't know him at all, but there are some very nice posts on here about him and everyone who mentions him on the telly says he's a good lad. I think it's fantastic he's taking his time to post these up, he even says to let him know how you get on and if you want anything explained or covered by him just to ask!!, top bloke.

                      Anthony McGill.
Structured solo practise is the name of the game for improvement and keeping well tuned for matches, but not in isolation. Match 'Star' tables have a lot more pace than home practise tables.
Stephen Henry practised solo at John Spencer Snooker Centre Stirling. Similarly, Matt Selt and Chris Wakelin practise on 'Star' tables in Snooker Centre my home town Nuneaton.

I'm surprised he hasn't won the world title.
First time I saw him I thought he's gonna dominate this game .
One of the few players who can deal with pressure very well, imo.

No link really but you can get info on his Facebook page (if you are using FB) or contact the club directly, Minnesota Fats (1053-1055 Cathcart Road, Glasgow T: 0141 649 0558)
I think he's holding training for juniors every week or two weeks, when available and not travelling the world to play

EDIT : just saw on his FB page that he paid a visit to Sunny Sing at dunstable Snooker club after his win at the Shoothout. He spent some time in this club to train on his way to the comp. Class act to have a thought for the club and the owner

I'm impressed he takes the time out to spend time at the grass roots level. It's important to keep Snooker thriving.

He seems to have everything to do well in the game but he's 26 now and you worry he's going to go the way of other young players who look like they've got everything but never kick on, you just wonder what it is holding him back?
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head
