Most sport is all about the money these days though - look at football - anyone remember the time when just the Champions of each league played for the European Cup?

Watering it down like they have in boxing and football widens participation and it helps to draw in more crowds promotionally but it devalues the sport and deprives the crowds from being able to watch the top matchups.

I could be wrong but is the Super champion not just someone who has held the WBA title a certain length of time or defended it x amount of times?

While we're ranting when is Kell Brook going to fight someone of note? his division is full of talent and because of his dithering he's now on a collision course with Errol Spence Jnr who is now his number one contender, he's going to duck him but i hope he doesn't as that will be a real fight

Look at Groves, had three world title shots and will probably get another soon

    It's sad isn't it.

Until they do away with the numerous bodies and just have one belt/governing body per weight then nothing will change unfortunately. But that ain't going to happen any time or at all anytime soon is it..

If we had just one belt per division then we'd see the fights we should be seeing happening...

If you aren't in the IBF top ten are you ranked at all by the others?
This is boxing now, it's a joke and they just let them get away with what they want, take Klitschko for instance for years he's been putting rematch clauses in the contracts, he should have been told if you lose you go back in the queue as you'll no longer be champ and it won't be up to you, the whole game stinks now and nothing surprises me

    Made me laugh that
I guess lots of snooker players love watching boxing. A few used to do a bit themselves like Mark Williams I believe, Q Hann, Mark King even Ronnie himself loves it and does a bit for a laugh too.

By the way whilst looking for clip of Ronnie boxing I found an unusual clip here of legendary bare knuckle fighter Lenny Mclean - eating snails with a very young Ronnie o Sullivan on the Danny Baker show - strange but true. Now don't get me wrong but if you can eat snails and have a laugh next to that man and keep calm then going 12 all in a snooker match needing to clear up is a piece of cake.
