I still think even when you see your dad as a shell of his former self you still see him as the man, he's the fella that does the accounting, still is the man that tells you right from wrong, still is the man that owns the most in your family. It is in my family anyway and is heartbreaking seeing him not able to 'live'.

to me I am now remembering all the Christmases with mum and dad and the family through all those years (many many years ), so thanks for that VG :biggrin:

Exactly, Christmas is for family and rememberances. After all Christmas is to remember the rise and death of Jesus. The death of family isn't about sadness but how great these people are in your lives....
