Yes very hard. I put a new Elk Master ROS Special on my GBL and my JP over the weekend. Awesome feel, firm but very responsive when it comes to action on the cue ball. I normally use MW Super tips but my last batch where spongy so Mike shipped me some in April and they never arrived so I bought some ROS Elk's from Stu Green and had them in a week. They are going to be my new tip.

I like a nice firm tip but find the laminated ones just too hard for me so I went back to a pro g at the weekend, just wondered if they are similar to the ros elks.

would you say in that case then that the elks are between the mw supertip and pro g in terms of firmness?

Yes. They are just a we bit firmer then the MW. I am also not a big fan of the laminated tips either.
