They were my best tip. Banged down to about 3.5mm. Loved em. Long gone sadly, I live in fear now of a new maker saying they've reinvented them but want a tenner for one. Used to be 25p in the sports shop I bought my Patrick Keegan kings from! Lol.

I have 2 uncles . both cue collectors. Well, one, at this time bcuz the other one is past a way.

Anyhow, he has 3 box's original BD from 80 's.
But no one is even allowed to touch them.

The only way to get them, is planning a robbery , shooting him dead and get the tips and the cues. :encouragement:

Some years ago ADR found an old box at the back of his cupboard either 80s or 90s but they were only 9mm. I got some for my pool cue and they are great. I only use them for my own never for anyone else:wink:

well, it's not like they do'nt exist.
it's just too much trouble . you buy a box of 50 and you'll be lucky if you can find 10 - 15 , good elks .
Each on his own . But you'll be better off buy a elk pro and save yourslf alots of trouble , imo.

I have to say that the last box of elk I got was a good one, with just a handful of bad one's...
Problem has been, that 2-3 boxes before that have been at least 50-60% bad, plus people and club I know have had the same problem....
Puts you off, wanting to put one on....
