I would plane it down a bit, looks a bit clunky to me.

sorry cut in half one way, giving 2 pieces 33mmx70mm,then you have options of turning into wedges for splicing or even making some 2-3-4 mm veneers

Cue number 6. Had a go with some of the amboyna from hawaii. A little more hassle than the thuya but pleased with the end result.

Spec: 57 3/4"long, 30mm butt, 9.5mm tip, 18 1/4 oz, 17.5inch bp. 18.5 inch main ebony splices with decorative amboyna with thin curly maple vaeneer front and back.

Was cutting splices today, and this slice of amboyna came along. Can't wait to get it on a cue. The flash was on in the photo, so it's actually a lot darker.

                                First custom order

Been a little while as I've been busy with Uni work but cue No.7 finished. Unfortunately won't be making anymore before xmas.

This time my first custom order for a TSF member, classic ebony butt design. Very pleased with it. Pics below:

                                Specs: 52" long, 30mm butt, 10mm tip, 16.1 oz, 19" splices (even)
