My Mannock pearwood Billiard cue. its had some work done in the past before i owned it, the front snakewood splice was replaced when it was damaged, im also assuming the front tulipwood splice must also have been changed as its a good bit darker than the rest.

Its a bit different from most Mannocks ive seen as theres more ebony on it above the tulipwood splices, usually the tulipwood comes up much further on the butt, this though imo looks a little better the way it was done. Still has the horn ferrule on it and is actualy a decent playing cue once you get used to how it hits.

Ive also a maple mannock over at Tony Glovers having some work done, butt had a laquer finish to it which got incredibly sticky feeling after an hour or so, so thats getting stripped off and getting polished up with either oil or wax, 10.5mm brass ferrule on it (originally a horn ferrule but preferred brass for this one). Pics to follow once it comes back.

Just got hold of this pear shafted Mannock, not sure what front splice is, was advertised as mahogany, but looks a bit light to me. Nice cue to play with even with small butt.
Specs: almighty 59", 11mm horn ferrule, stamped 18 1/2 oz, (but weighs 17 1/2), slim 27.5 butt, 16" balance point, 24" machine spliced ebony, 19" hand spliced tulip (?), 9 1/2" front splice, has a number 9 (or 6?) stamped on butt, has Burroughes & Watts, London stamped below the mother of pearl badge.

The face splice looks similar to mine, which I've always thought was mahogany. I *THINK* I remember reading yew was also used for a face splice occasionally as well, but not sure, so it may be that instead.
