Good win for Hendry, Michael White has really dropped off, I seem to remember him as being quite good a few years back.

I also thought about White a few years ago that for the next years he would be a contender for a Top 16 spot and maybe more, but he always lacked consistency and the basic for it might be his temper. He never seemed able to keep emotions, especially frustration away from the table.

I’ve enjoyed watching White play when I’ve seen him. .
I guess his struggle with mental health issues have affected his game on the table and away from it .

I don't think we'll see best-of-9 matches again in any of these ranking events, at least not outside of China. If you're looking for reasons, there are no good ones. It's a ****ing travesty if you ask me.

Yes it is, but its short term interest from tv viewers maybe part of the reason , to keep viewing numbers up and thus advertising revenue up shorten the matches . Quick kill , quick buck
