Figures for JP as he only watches the BBC events. Maybe back in his day there wasn't 10am sessions in other tournaments.

Pretty sure the UK Championship used to have them for the early rounds when they went through those few years where it was 128 at the venue with 8 tables across the 2 rooms.

Home Nations events have 10am starts.

            • Tournament Directors will be nudging Ronnie and Luca to throw a few. Will save them having to roll out Virgo and Taylor again for some trick shots.

Utter nonsense. Tournament directors won't give a ****, punters have took their chance by buying tickets for that session so can't complain.

                • Nifty 351 they could wheel out Rob Walker for a few hours to amuse us all on all his snooker stories down the years, he's forgotten more about snooker than most folk will ever know.

I was reading about the great Joe Davis recently and was surprised to learn that he used to throw frames to make matches last longer and increase revenue from ticket sales. He's considered the first case of match fixing

This is one of those things that people take as fact but has never been proven. There'd be no need to throw frames to increase ticket revenue through much of his career as dead frames were played anyway.

He runs marathons, training for that probably helps keep you in shape.

Anyway botth Luca and Ronnie through with 13-4 scorelines, poor crowd are going to be subjected to an exhibition.
