He's still favourite in this match. Ben no really looking in command.

This is White's fifth straight two year invitational tour card nomination so his invitation will have spanned ten years, there should be a point somewhere where Jason Ferguson and Steve Dawson show some spine on White and pay allegiance to at least the idea of new blood, i think White's legend of the game status is a bit tired and overrated as well.
I went right off Jimmy White when he called Ben Williams a dimlo. Incredibly unprofessional and self-centred of him to speak to an official in that way. If had said it with a grin it would have been passable but he was completely serious and it took Ben by surprise. Jimmy only has himself to blame for being Snookers ne'er-do-well because he was more interested in partying instead of bed by 9pm like Davis and Hendry did.

Yep, no arguement, but as a parallel from the old era, Fred Davis played professionally into his 70's. Obviously another favoured player within the establishment.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a steal on that level before!

And I don’t always agree with this ‘Roll the ball over the pocket’. Here’s an idea, how about potting it instead?? There’s a time to roll a ball over the pocket, and that time is when it’s a pot you don’t really fancy getting. The first shot Ben had on the pink was mid-range and just off straight. Just get down and stun it in!! Rolling it over the bag is like falling over the line.

Nah, it is good the way it is. You have a season with many tournaments and therefore you can win titles and also be world number one, which is a feat as well. But you need highlights during this season with the World Championship being the highlight. Sports fare always better with this and therefore they have it. Like for example tennis with the Grand Slams.

Wakelin leads 6-2 over Allen and it isn't even a surprise.
