In off the jaws at that speed ! I think Si then realised that the pockets are massive and proceeded to play like he did in '23 when the pockets were indeed..................massive.

Was Higgins average shot time 41 seconds for the last session ? I saw something on the screen at the end of the match that was pointing to that, If so that needs addressing.

I don’t class myself as an O’Sullivan fan, but I’m wishing I’d set his match to record today, if only for the intro/walk-ons.

I think for Higgins this looks like another year in which he won‘t have enough energy for the whole 17 days. It might be a disadvantage to have won the Tour Championship before.

Brilliant from Higgins, took the game to Joe and just kept pushing. Very emotional PMI from him, but it's great to see how much he still loves this game.

The last time they met at the Worlds was 2018 where Carter beat Ronnie 13-9 and of course Let's just hope it doesn't turn into a boxing match.

(They were due to meet in the Champions League but Ronnie withdrew and Ali got a walkover).
I don't know, this isn't like Ronnie in 2013, I think he's quite fragile. I fancy Ali if he doesn't get swept up in the occasion.

John's looking a little tired, Joe's looking a little edgy, which weakness will win? 🤔

I hope to see some good play from Si Jiahui, he seems settled at 2-2 with Gilbert so has a chance shine now after the interval hopefully! 🙏

I suppose John will be reasonably happy to have won tonight's first mini-session 3-1, but he didn't look too chuffed. Could be a late night nail biter this one. (That's easier to type than say.)

That powered red from Joe into the green middle pocket with right hand side to land on the black, beautiful! 🤩
