Think Williams deserved to win. Higgins made too many mistakes in the frames before the interval. Great match. Williams has the guile to beat Trump.

Yep Higgins should have just rolled the blue in to take luck of a jaw out of the equation but it seems that Higgins has this automatic habit of always needed to play position no matter what.
Williams could still win with a snooker on the pink so it seemed like Higgins wanted to also leave a decent shot at the pink to pot it as well, instead of just rolling the blue in?
PS. would have been tragic for Williams if he lost that after being four frames up and needing just one of the last five frames.

I agree with Williams there, Higgins should have floated that blue in softly, gotta gamble sometimes.

There's your answer, congrats and commiserations to both.

Thought Higgins had that blue but Williams had balls in that final frame with two good long pots and taking that black on with all the reds on.

Is it me or does Higgins always seem to get more unlucky splits than most when going into the pack? Hes almost never on anything easy these days!

I won't be surprised if he's up to that challenge.
I'm still reflecting on how poor Pang Junxu was, just completed his 5th year as a pro, no part of not good enough he doesn't tick.

O'Sullivan was right when he made that comment a few years ago about other players not stepping up.

Wondered how he’d managed to fit it in.

Had to laugh at the commentators criticising Luca for daring to play safe when it was down to the colours.
