I thought Ronnie wasn't using John Parris anymore.

He’s always got something interesting to say. As a business man he understands that it’s money that motivates people.

Please excuse me sf, I've edited your post to highlight the most salient parts.

Ah yes. Curry would be a good bet. Leo probably used to haggis or deep fried Mars bar.

Lovely semi finals setup...I'm going to enjoy this.
I feel Ronnie's made more from Zhao's mistakes than Zhao has from Ronnie's and I think that's probably the way it's going to continue.

Over the top beginning from the audience, no need for this overly hyped nonsense that Rob Walker seems to insist on. You'd think this was the final from the intros which only leads to the final itself being underwhelming as the intros will still be the same. They never used to bring the players on from the stairs until the last session of the final, what's that all about!
It's like Rob's engineering of the standing ovation for Williams and Higgins in the quarters - complete unnecessary. World Snooker really need to find someone more professional than Rob to work as MC. And I agree with you on the bringing them down from the stairs, should be last session of final only,

Anyway from what I saw - which was the tail end of the session - both players are playing exceptionally well but will be hammered by Judd in the final if they play like that - Judd really is on another level.

I can't see Xintong winning this. He started okay and doesn't seem nervous but like all the Chinese players, they just don't have that extra quality in the tactical exchanges. I've yet to see one Chinese player excel in that dept, Bingtao was good but not top level like the elite players.

Given Ronnie worked a bit with him to help him out in the tactical side, he'll be aware of his weaknesses and I'm sure he'll know he'll get the better of him and get enough chances to put him away. 17-10 at least IMO.
