I couldn't believe that he'd risk making such a change mid match. I presume this Praram cue came with a titanium ferrule so to make a change and knowing it will throw differently given he's practiced with it for the past couple of months is a major gamble. It could be this cue doesn't feel right at all. Why would you do this in the middle of a world semi final?

Get lost. Let's for a Xintong v Trump final so we can get rid of these over-rated pensioners once and for all.
    Over-rated pensioners?

I'm hoping for Ronnie & Mark final that goes to a deciding frame.

To be fair the relationship a player has with his cue is a unique thing in snooker. If you trust a cue maker to know what you want in a cue and they've delivered for you before, I guess you trust them to do it again.

Ronnie has had a lot of cues down the years but nearly all of his major success came with Parris cues. I guess he just has more belief using his than another brand. We are all guilty of brand bias and a snooker player is no different.

Why do so many referees make repotting a colour such a laboured process? And I’m talking about when the spot is totally free.

Cloth on this table seems very sluggish. Noticed it this afternoon but it's still playing slow tonight. Hope it settles in but early signs are were in for a lot of scrappy frames.

Yes I caught that and don't normally watched BBC news at 6. Seemed rather strange that, from what I could gather Parris is currently making him a cue but said it would be about 9 months, so not just us mere mortals who have to wait an age to get the Ultimate cue!

Parris also had a little dig that he's really not happy with the cue he's using and joked that Ronnie might bring a different cue out each session.
