Does he actually have one? I hadn't noticed.

One more reason to root for Ali.

Judging by the way Carter's playing, I think they've had a gentlemen's agreement.

One things for sure - whoever wins the O'Sullvan v Carter match is through to the quarter finals against Pang or Zhang. Possible O'Sullivan v Selby quarter final is on the cards as well! That would be some match if Ronnie is playing to the standard we expect of him.

Ronnie often talks bollocks. Before he started talking from inside his own arse about his bravery in choosing to compete in this year's championship, maybe he should have checked out a few YouTube videos of our lads being driven through Royal Wootten Bassett. Bravery? He hasn't a clue. It's all about him.

The last time they met at the Worlds was 2018 where Carter beat Ronnie 13-9 and of course Let's just hope it doesn't turn into a boxing match.

(They were due to meet in the Champions League but Ronnie withdrew and Ali got a walkover).
Yep, today's the day the circus comes to town! Is everyone excited? I know I am. Can't wait to see what sort of nick Ron's in, if he doesn't withdraw before the match starts, that is.
Can he do it this year? I think it would be a real shame if he never got the great eight. That said, the resulting media orgasm, if he did, would be a nightmare.

Think you're right there, he looked shot toward the end, his lack of fitness is an issue. I know he's improved in that department but when you compare him to Ronnie at the same age.

Was Higgins average shot time 41 seconds for the last session ? I saw something on the screen at the end of the match that was pointing to that, If so that needs addressing.
Yeh, reminiscent of the crazy long pot by Judd Trump in the final against Higgins, the year Trump became Champion. That was wide and somehow wobbled into the bucket.

Fantastic to see John come through. Lovely interview afterwards as well. Joe played his part in a good match.

On to the boxing match it is then... I'm looking forward to see ROS in action. Watching him on Eurosport over the past days he looked very subdued. Would like to see him play well and get far. But...John FTW of course.
